Sad to see you gone, Dana Reeves!
|
A friend of mine (my news junkie "sister" :) ) just sent me a link with the news of Dana Reeves death of lung cancer at the age of 44. This is so sad. Her husband just died in 2004. This is just not fair at all! I can't believe she's dead too. Leaving behind their teenage son! Wow! Dammit! That woman was a very very rare gem. She stood behind her husband like an unshakeable rock until the end. It was like her saying, "Let anyone or anything bring it on; I will take it with you, Chris." Her fortitude, grace, charm and uncanny strength was indubitable. That's the type of wife I pray for - someone that we will stand by each other like a mountain of ROCK regardless of all.
I just can't believe this! Why does death always have to take the best people? At such a young age too. WHHHYYYYYYYY? It's not fair. It's just not fair! I mean...there are no women like this woman in Hollywood and even in the world generally, they are rare (Guys are more rare, I know). I loved that woman mehn. It's just wrong! It's not fair at all. Her memories bring tears to my eyes. I mean, she was just always there... It's so sad to say goodbye to you for sure, Dana Reeves! You will always be remembered for your undeniable courage and character. Adieu, DANA REEVES!!!

I was very saddened by the news too. Its a sad reminder that life is trully too short. I am happy that she experienced true love with her husband though, and got to live out her (career) dreams, which is more than alot of us can ever say. May her soul rest in peace. Amen

shuck!... She died too.. oh my gosh.. May her sould rest in perfect peace...
We just went over death and dying in class.. she might have died not just as a result of cancer, but as a result of grief related to her husband's death ( although the survival rate fro lung cancer pt's is low!)..
NB... pls smokers, quit smoking.. it puts u @ risk for LUNG CANCER....

Wow, i knew she had lung cancer but neva knew she was or is dead, dats sad. May her soul RIP. Hope the teenage son is gonna be aii. It's just so sad.

FYI, she never smoked b/c she was a singer. Alot more women under 50 are at risk now than ever. All the chemicals in our environment... God help us ooo!

it is very sad indeed. It's not just smoking that will give you lung cancer, second hand smoke from clubs, bars, friends and ofcourse air pollution. As a side bar and with all the pollution in big african cities, I won't be surprised if this is also another silent killer and we just don't know it or because of misdiagnosis (eg everything is either malaria or aids)

yeah she never smoked, but hey...smoking does increase the risk of lung cancer tremendously.
the nyja one is funny. :) everything is either malaria or aids. that's so true in nyja for sure. like anonymous, juju 2 for sure. Nyja really needs help.
