A perfect match!

Apple just released Boot Camp, a software that allows you to install Windows on their new Intel-based Macs. It will allow the user to choose which OS to boot on booting the system - Windows XP or Mac OS X Tiger (or Leopard in the future). This is definitely a major catch for me cos I have always thought of getting a Mac but just always brushed it aside cos I knew it would restrict me from doing most of my development work which are, for the most part, done on a Windows-based system. With the advent of this new software, it will make it possible for one to have 2 rival OSes on the same system, both with its own advantage. Apple's OS X (one of the best OSes out there right now) will be my personal fun-based aesthetically inclined, yet undeniably powerful OS while Microsoft Windows XP will be my development OS, a feat that would have required 2 different machines before now. This is best of both worlds to me, really. Initially, I didn't like the adoption of Intel-based chips by Apple but now, I am cool with it. I look forward to this...
